Our Future

I have been breeding Tibetan Mastiff puppies since 1995. Over the years I have come to know a good bit about raising and keeping this breed. I appreciate hearing from people who are seeking information about the breed in anticipation of purchasing a puppy. My puppies are available by reservation to approved homes. Please read the Breeders Policy and make sure you ask any questions in advance of making a reservation. I ask that you keep in mind that the acquisition of any animal is lifetime commitment. While Tibetan Mastiff puppies are surely appealing, they do grow up and can create havoc in homes that are not prepared for the adult dog. Planned Breedings

AKC Ch. Samrat of Saras "Janoo" will be bred by us to two lovely females this year. Janoo is a Group Winning and multi-Best of Breed Winning four year old import from India bred by world reknown Saras Tibetan Mastiffs. A rare pure gold, this male has it all - breed type, structure, size and movement! Janoo is OFA Good with Normal Elbows and Thyroid. His character is a wonderful as his conformation. Janoo's sire is Ind. Ch. Himalaya's Tango at Saras and his dam is Ind. Ch. Fahrenheit of Saras. Janoo is 29 inches tall. Puppies from his breedings this year are anticipated to be golden and black and tan.

Himalaya Yekaterin MacHagrid "Kat" is one of the two females who will be bred to Janoo. You may have seen this beautiful girl as a puppy and her sire a few years back when our kennel was featured on Animal Planet. Kat makes her home in North Carolina but will be having a Himalaya litter this year. A dark black and tan, Kat is a stunning total package. This will be the first breeding for this four year old who is OFA excellent with Normal elbows and thyroid normal. Kat has a sweet and easy nature and is about 26 inches tall. Kat's sire is Amphu Brug Ni A Soechavati and her dam is Himalaya's Taj Mahal. Both of these dogs were rare breed club Champions before Tibetan Mastiffs were accepted by AKC. Puppies are anticipated early 2010.

Stormnangels Dream of Himalaya "Cinder" is also being bred to Janoo. This will be a second breeding for this five year old. One of her puppies from her litter last year is already a nationally ranked Champion! Cinder is an import from Canada bred by Stormnangels Tibetan Mastiffs. She is OFA Excellent with Normal elbows. Cinder is a big girl with amazing structure and movement. Her character is very true to the breed, a bit aloof and reserved but quite loving with her family. She is a little over 27 inches tall. Cinder's sire is Himalaya's Tale of Kasura Meru and her dam is Himalaya's Nying Dang Draba. Puppies are anticipated Christmas weekend.

We are very excited about the pairing of these two imports. Ch Treasure of Saras called Gazer is an import from India. This amazing male is just over 29 inches and moves with such style and grace that he always attracts comments in the show ring. This gentle giant is stable in character and just a pleasure to live with. Paired with an import from the Czech Republic, Alena Divali, we expect great things. At a time when breeding gene pool is shrinking, this is a real opportunity to put something new together. Gazer is OFA good with normal thyroid and elbows and Alena is OFA excellent with normal thyroid and elbows. This will be the second litter for Alena who is six and the third litter for Gazer who is four. Two of Gazer's sons from last year earned their AKC Championships at less than a year of age. Puppies are due around January 15, 2010.
